My rescue dog, Luke, was terrified of everything, even noises like setting down a coffee mug at home. Elly had the patience to let Luke come out of his shell at his own pace. I can't express how great it feels to watch videos of Luke happily playing with other dogs, and even initiating play, on their hikes. Luke can still be skittish, even at home, but he's calmer than I ever expected he would be, and happier. Hike days are his favorite days! He and his sister, Phoebe, both come home from hikes tired and happy.— Tony
Ellie has a wonderful way with dogs - they instantly fall in love with her. I am so relieved that I can leave Bear at Ellie's and travel without worrying about him.— Chris K.
Wonderfully insightful care of all types of dogs.— Tom L.
Ellie came to our house (super helpful, considering the kid and my demanding work schedule) but also the cat issue was very much in our home. She seemed to get along well with our dog immediately and she insisted she was actually quite smart. She figured out the issues and helped us learn how to address them directly by getting Evie used to things in small steps and rewarding her appropriately, in ways that enforced the behaviors we wanted. In a lot of ways-- WE were the ones getting trained! Once we understood how to change what we were doing, Evie was super adaptive and changed in a matter of days. Evie has also done the hikes a number of times and boarding. We wouldn't trust anyone else with Evie when we are away.— Erin & Brian M.
I felt like I found a goldmine! The staff sincerely LOVES my dog, I can just tell. The staff are well trained in ALL dog behaviors as well as what my dog needs. The large open area of social play among the dogs, while being supervised, is so unique. And then the guided hikes to stimulate all of her senses, are just what she needs. Boarding her at PCW is just more of the same and unlike nowhere else. When Elly met my rescue, she knew exactly what she was doing and how to help. I knew right then that this isn't a doggy daycare where your dog is just kept safe while you are at work. This is a doggy daycare where your dog will be loved and nurtured while you are at work. We love Elly and all the staff at Pork Chops Way. They helped our rescue become a lovable and well loved family member!— Cheryl I.
Our Goldens love the play time and exercise they get with Pork Chops Way. The boarding is great as I know they are in a loving home and not in cramped crates or runs.— Karin K.
Elly took time to get to know Sona. Elly literally got on the floor (laid down) to earn her trust. This happened for several weeks until Sona trusted her. It was amazing. Sona LOVES dogs. She wants to be friends with every dog she sees or meets.— Ankhur S.
Elly provided easy to follow guidance to help Molly understand the rules of the house and kitchen and it made all the difference. Seeing how quickly Molly caught on led us to believe we were on the right path to make a difference. Molly is very well behaved in the kitchen during meal prep and eating time. It made a world of difference in her following basic commands and understanding what's expected of her. Both of our dogs love when they stay at Pork Chops Way. We love the personalized care they receive. The regular updates and pictures we receive help us stay connected when we're out of town.— Sarah
We love the cage free boarding and extra love and attention given to our dog by Elly. Our dog is very happy to go to Elly's! We have tried several other places and no one compares with the extra care that Elly gives. She truly cares for our dog and we know Lady is in good hands and in a happy environment and not in a scary cage with cement floors when she is boarded.— Julia
Elly clearly loves our dogs as much as we do. Her set-up is the best option for anxious dogs, way better than cage or crate-based boarding. We moved here from the Midwest, which was pretty stressful. If we had not found Elly, I don't know how we would have navigated our first few years here, away from family and friends who could help watch our dogs. In short, Elly was and is a blessing, and we are grateful to have someone who takes such great care of our dogs when we have to be away from home.— Ryan
Pork Chops Way offered pick-up and drop-off for hiking and ensured that our Aussie got the attention and exercise he needed when we boarded him there. Our dog seemed happier and more relaxed after spending the day at Pork Chops Way.— Matt
